A plethora of trends were thrown down the catwalk last September, providing a library of looks to suit any taste. With fashion distractions in the form of to die for summer dresses and heels, its easy to forget the most elegant of accessories: the watch. Here are the trends for this must have accessory.
For a simple and light look, opt for a white watch with a broad face. Silver elements and subtle bling will highlight any number of spring trends, from pastel shades to girlish white, floral embellishment and lady like elegance. This is the perfect summer accessory.
To finish off a water world look (seen at Chanel and Stella McCartney) a coral coloured strap watch with clean lines is a must. Don't choose a design that's too fussy, as the whole look should be streamlined and well put together. A rubber or vinyl finish will give that all important wet look.
Blue hues are sure to put a smile on your face this season, so brighten up your ensemble with a vivid sky blue number. A sporty material such as plastic or rubber is ideal for channelling the port luxe trend, and a chunky strap and face will keep the look androgynous and very cool.
A classic option is the timeless silver faced watch with an elegant strap. Simple designs hold the strongest sense of femininity, so choose subtle embellishments and jewels, rather than the overly decorated styles that were so popular last season. Paired with any look, this watch is a show stopper.
